New one. I’m now reminded again how difficult drawing is, especially when humorous.

I’m not sure this is worth anything, but I’m going to draw a few of the best posts from DamnYouAutoCorrect over the Christmas break. DYAC is a blog that posts screen caps of autocorrect mistakes that the iPhone makes occasionally.

I read a page on color theory and what moods each color is supposed to be associated with. So, I drew colors as people. I like the black and yellow best. The rest are meh.
I had to resist the urge to title this page “Colored People.”

Drew Spencer to practice. It’s traced from a photo, but then graphic-ized. Fun idea.

Got bored and nostalgic over break. Not so bad.

Practice cuz they’re hiring at the Alligator. And I want to shut out the newbies.

Editors had an idea for a ‘toon. They usually hit about 50 percent. To me, the idea don’t make much sense, but I try my best to make it graphically interesting and funny. I’m only successful about 50 percent.

Drew this one in the back of an audience for a speaker. The first of many on demand cartoons, I’m sure. Not too bad. Nice on the eyes. Drew the animals at a much larger size first, then shrunk them down. Makes it crisper.

Not too much special today. Finally able to draw two distinct figures that pass as the same person. The art style is very close to Ryan’s, the old cartoonist, which is good and bad. I’m hoping to stumble upon my own distinct style soon enough. We’ll see.

The last few days the news has been dry. I did this one in the back of University Auditorium during “UF’s Got Talent”. Drawing skills are getting better, smoother. I didn’t spend as much time on idea development this time, so is about 70 percent effective.

I’ve got to re-check my canvas size. It’s been clipping when they print.
